When Nicole was seven, her mother asked her what she wanted to do for her birthday. Rather than going to the zoo, playing princess or spending the day at Chuck E Cheese, she announced she wanted to visit the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) to see the mummies. When asked what she wanted to be when she grew up, she would proudly state “an archeologist just like Indian Jones!”
While Nicole has never been on a dig (yet), she loves spending time in dusty libraries, reading about long lost tombs and deciphering hieroglyphics. She has a degree in Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations from the University of Toronto where she studied Egyptology.
Today, Nicole writes historical fiction novels set ancient Egypt, featuring strong women and epic love stories.
When not writing, you can find Nicole cooking and baking, spending time in nature, or traveling with her husband and son.
